Hi! My name is Jamie Boudman and I am the owner of Giggledust Parties, a children’s event planning company serving the Greater Philadelphia Area.  Giggledust Parties was launched in January 2010 and has helped over 200 families bring a dusting of magic to their birthday celebrations!

I absolutely love creating the party experience and immersing myself in the details of the design.  My goal at each event is to provide a magical experience where the children will be transported to the royal ballrooms of princesses, enchanted gardens of fairies and swashbuckling adventures of pirates.  I believe it is the combination of the detailed décor and the engaging, themed activities that allow the child to be emotionally connected to the experience.  Each time that I see a child immerse themselves in the “magic” of their day, I am inspired to do it again and again.

Prior to entering the party planning world, I earned a BS in Communications at Indiana University of PA and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College in MD.  I married my college sweetheart and we have three beautiful children; Mackenzie (10), Connor (7), and Riley (4).  After spending 12 years as a project manager for a Fortune 100 company, I decided to leave the corporate world to spend more time with my children.  Giggledust Parties was born out of a desire to combine my corporate project management experience with my love of entertaining!

I am a full-time mom, wife and attorney.  When those things don't keep me busy, my true passion is all things, crafting, decorating and party planning.  Unfortunately, unlike other attorneys turned party-planners, I haven't become world-famous - yet!  My two children, Grace and Ethan provide loads of inspiration.    I believe crafting, decorating and party planning should be realistic.  If you are a mom, you know that your house and child's birthday party will not always look like a picture in a magazine.  Staged parties are just that - staged.  Realistic to me also means budget friendly.  I love finding inexpensive ideas as much as I love to craft, decorate and party plan.  I truly believe everything in life happens for a reason and you only get one chance to live this life, so do it to the fullest!  When I have time, I like to share my ideas on my blog, Buckets of Grace.  I am so honored to be a contributor here on Maddycakes Muse!

I have worked in the field of child development for several years as a college instructor, training teachers and developing and writing curriculum. I have also studied design and combined my love of child development and design and started planning parties and sharing them on my blog pretend,party& playblogspot.com. I enjoy styling events and designing and creating children's party decor. I specialize in high quality fabric party embellishments. 

I reside in Southern California with my husband, son and daughter. I host many parties in our home and enjoy crafting and DIY projects. I challenge myself to try out new cooking, baking, sewing and crafts daily! I find inspiration everywhere and look forward to sharing these ideas with all of you on Maddycakes Muse!
